Spring mixed with fall

This pink shirt is also one of my thrift store finds. I thought the pink would be fun to mix in with a chunky sweater, giving this fall outfit a little spring touch. It started to rain when I took these pictures, but since I'm so dedicated to taking pictures of myself for you guys I stuck it out :)
Also, as mentioned on my fall favorites video, I pawned these shoes off of my sister for 10 bucks! Brand new Sam Edelman wedges. I felt like saying What are ya!? Crazy?!
She is..

How was everyone's weekend's?

My college church took up an offering we have been saving for for 3 months - our goal was $100,000. Tonight we collected $78,000!!!! Can you believe that!?! 300 "broke"college kids. We have 10 different organizations and things we are donating to but I am so encouraged!! The power of God is awesome!

Featured Blogger : ENTER KELLY

I am SO excited to introduce to you Kelly from Enter Kelly!! She is a fashion blogger from Canada and has become like a friend to me in the blogging world! I wish we could actually sit down and have coffee :) She has a daring fashion sense but also one that others can find aspiring and attainable.

She is sincere and genuine in her blog and all around wonderful person.
I asked kelly to answer some fun questions about her style, and also to pick a few of her favorite fall items and remix them into 3 different outfits! She chose this plaid mens wear button up - remixed in three ways. She wore a few staple items like a chunky knit sweater, and some great black combat boots as well.
ALSO I love that she wore white pants in the fall. This is why I love Kelly! Be sure to check out what else is going on in her world, but for now enjoy this feature!!

1. What is your Blog Site?
Enter Kelly

2. How long have you been blogging?
Since February of 2011!

3. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging back in February after I came across Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge.  Being a self-proclaimed shopaholic, I realized that this challenge would curb me from spending money for an entire month, and it would allow me to figure out how to remix the clothing that I already owned.  I started my blog as a way to keep me committed to the challenge. After the challenge, I enjoyed blogging so much that I've kept up with it since :)

4. How would you define your personal style?
I never know how to answer this question because I don't know how to define my style. Some days I like to look super feminine and tailored, and other days I really enjoy a grungier or less polished look.  Above all, however, is comfort. If I'm not comfortable in my clothes, I won't wear them.

5. Who is your favorite designer?
Call me crazy, but I don't follow designers very much.  But I do love Joe Mimran of the Joe Fresh Canadian clothing line. His designs are always super trendy, but he makes them affordable for people like me who hate spending billions of dollars! :)

6. What are your top 5 favorite items from your closet?
Right now, they've got to be my leather jacket, my men's flannel plaid button-up, my blue fitted blazer, my over-the-knee boots (that I can't wait to wear again!), and my cobalt blue pants.

7. What is an item every girl needs?
Every girl needs a fitted blazer. It's the easiest thing to throw on and instantly look put together. There are so many different shapes and cuts available that any girl can get one to match their body type or suit their personal style. It's definitely a great investment!

8. Who do you find inspiration from?
More than anything else, I find style inspiration from other bloggers.  I only started blogging back in February, but I've been following fashion blogs for almost two years now.  Bloggers are the best source for inspiration because each of them have their own unique styles, and generally the products that they feature are actually affordable. I also looooove Pinterest, but to me it's just an extension of the blogging inspiration :)

9. Who are some of your favorite Bloggers?
Ahhh, this is a tough question.  I have chosen to follow the blogs that I do for different reasons. It's hard to choose favourite bloggers because everyone's blog is wonderful! But if I had to pick a few, it would have to be hands-down Sydney from The Daybook (I wish I could have her wardrobe), and Katy from Running on Happiness (because her posts are so well-written).  But like I said, I love everyone that I follow for different reasons.

10. If money wasn't an option, What's one crazy splurge you wish you could buy?
(example mine would be Marc Jacobs Leather bag.. LV luggage.. etc) :)
I would buy the classic Burberry trench. If only....

JUST FOR FUN :)
11. What is your drink of Choice?
Hmm, usually I just reach for water, but I know that's super boring. My favourite soda is Dr. Pepper!

Ideal First date?
Food is my favourite, so going out for a nice dinner would have to be included.  Other than that? I really couldn't care less. As long as I'm with the person I want to be with I'd have a great time I'm sure.

13. Favorite Hobby?
Internet. Is internet a hobby? Internet has all of my favourite things - Twitter, Blogger, Pinterest, online shopping.... Hah. If I had to choose anything though, it would be blogging and reading other blogs. It's become a part of my life and I love it :)

14. Favorite Retail Store/Place to shop?
I probably own more clothing from Forever21 than any other store, but I love H&M, Dynamite and the Joe Fresh clothing line as well.

15. What Advice do you have for new fashion bloggers?
Blogging is all about the community.  To be successful, in whatever way that you want, means being a part of that community.  Comment on your favourite blogs, get involved in Twitter, Facebook and on Bloglovin' amongst other social platforms.  You will find a lot of great people behind your favourite blogs, and getting to know them is the best part.  Also, it's important to have good quality photos on your blog (I know my pictures aren't always the best, but I hope to be fixing that in the next few months).  You don't need a super crazy camera to do it, you just need to know your lighting and your surroundings.

Kelly you're awesome!
Thank you again for featuring!! Make sure to check out Kelly's website :HERE!

Library Rules

This section of my library is my favorite. It's of course all things fashion. From sewing, to how to dress for less, to biographies on Designers.. etc. I have rented so many books from this section because everything about this industry intrigues me. Turns out when you don't return the books for a few months, the library starts to get upset, and threatens to send you to collections. So, from now I decided to just read the books at the library to not run the risk of emptying my bank account in late fees. I have a horrible memory and due dates are just not on the top of my priority list.. either is responsibility haha. woopsies. :)

The cotton candy picture will be explained on TAMI'S blog tomorrow: Make sure to check it out!

Hannah's blog is so fun and creative. She is super genuine and her posts are always intriguing and interesting! Check her blog out definitely!

The next thing that is required is that I name 7 interesting/quirky things about myself.

Treasures

So my sister Whitney tends to borrow a lot of my clothes. When she moved into her new house with her new hubs she still had quite a few articles of my clothing. This past weekend I went to her house and searched through her closet and found some treasures of mine! This H&M jacket being one of them! I was looking at The Daybook and noticed her blazer, and I kept thinking.. I'm pretty sure I own that jacket! I searched my closet and couldn't find it. And lo and behold.. my sister had it the whole time. stinker..

ps Whit's blog is super fun its about decorating, DIYS, wedding ideas, sensible buys etc.. check it out  HERE!!!

As I was getting dressed, My friend Libby suggested the pop of teal necklace, and i loved how it contrasted with the red! My maxi skirt is one of my go-to pieces because it is so comfortable and always feels like your dressing up. But really it's just dressy pajamas :)

Check back tomorrow for my Thursday Latelies video! And Friday for a new video on my Fall Favorites! :)

Me and my cousin have making a point to get together once a week to hang out. Today we met at a local coffee place called "The Coffeehouse". If you are local GO! They have great music, awesome atmosphere, and you don't smell like espresso when you leave! They only serve Vegan food, and its incredible! Except the Vegan cookies.. there kind of chalky feeling in your mouthh. STAY AWAY FROM THE COOKIES! Tami's Photography Blog is awesome! She takes awesome pictures for me out of the kindness of her heart :)
