Street Style Inspiration - MARY KATE OLSEN

From when I was a little girl, i was OBSESSED with marykate and ashley olsen. I owned and watched every one of their movies incessantly. If i didn't own one of the videos I would rent it everytime I was the movie store. I always liked marykate beter because "kate" was part of her name and i thought i related to her more because of that hhaha. As i have grown up, I have still always kind of admired her, but not because of her really awesome detective videos, (lol) but because of her incredible style, and knowing how to put really unique combos of things together.. Here are a few examples i found that i LOVEEEEEEE!

These next 2 pictures are really old. I had both of them hanging in my room and in my journal for outfit inspiration. Some pretty crazy outfits came out of this time period, which my parents didn't appreciate too much, but its all about finding your personal style and what fits you. This was just one of those stages along the journey :)

When i am having a dull day, I usually look at magazines or style blogs, or celebrity shoots for inspiration for clothing tips. I love googling "paparrazzi pics of ...." to get the best inspiration and ideas. These the celebrities in their raw form, and their true selves, and sometimes their personal style gives me ideas for my own!

So Today I had to sit in on the Class I am a teacher's aid for called " Fashion Trends and Industry Analysis". I helped grade their "spring 2011 trend boards". And surprisingly their predictions of spring trends were pretty right on.

Feeling unprepared for the new trends, and baring skin for spring. I am pale, and havent had one ounce of motivation to work out all winter. So this proposes a problem...Am looking forward to my feet being able to breath though! The second I can break out my sandals, I will!

Love a good Blazer

I've realized how much I love blazers, or any kind of structured jacket. I look forward to fall so that i can wear all my blazers, belted, oversized, fitted and structured over a dress.. all different types. So i started looking through pictures and realized ... i wear blazers so much.. maybe too much? Not sure how I never noticed this, but I guess I cant get enough of them!

Clearly I wear them over everything ha. I found so many more pictures of myself in blazers, but i was almost embarrassed to post them, because i never realized how much i wear them.. ( as i'm typing this I'm currently wearing a blazer haaaa)


Love some of these ways to pair a blazer to tie an outfit together:



High Waisted pants, with Fitted Blazer





Marykate pretty much always overdoes her outfits, but i love the way she pairs it with shorts, and an oversized scarf, and intense gladiators. She has a great sense of how to put unusual items together to make an eclectic look.

And I'm not a fan of jean skirts, but i Do love it paired with the black leather mini.





Also LOVE it with the Boyfriend jeans in this first one.

I'm excited for Spring weather, but will miss my blazers for Spring. ha.. I guess I will have to find a way to incorporate them into my wardrobe. They'll sneak their way in their somehow I'm sure :)
