Today was my birthday!! :)

June 21st - I turned 22 today! I had one of my most special birthdays ever! I wasn't expecting much, because my sisters and my boyfriend were out of town, so I was thinking it would be a quiet birthday but I was so wrong.

My day started with my friends decorating my room:




Then my cousins took me out to chipotle which was is my favorite place EVER. I eat there on the regular, like atleast 3 times a week. Next my mom let me take 2 friends to get pedicures.

Lastly my friends took me out to dinner and had cake and ice cream waiting for me after.




My sisters did the coolest thing ever for my birthday present.. They took 2 outfits from Kendi from Kendieveryday.blogspot.com,( my favorite fashion blogger :) ) and bought me all the pieces she is wearing for my gifts. The first outfit is this outfit she wore on her blog a few weeks ago,

To my dad - Happy Father's Day!!

I truly can say I have the greatest dad in the world. I have no complaints when it comes to my father. He has been my biggest fan in any sports endeavor I took on. He would be in the front row cheering, and coaching me on what to do next. I would always look to him rather than my coach for encouragement and tips. Even if he wasn't familiar with the game, he always seemed to study technique so that he knew exactly how to help me. In any job I have had he has taught me how to be a hard worker and always strive to my goals. Being a fashion major doesn't always seem like the steadiest career, but when I got my internship with Nordstrom last semester, he consistently encouraged me, and patted me on the back for my achievements there.





My dad is the funniest person I know. He always knows how to brighten the mood and make the day that much more fun. He joins in on activities that may not be his favorite, but does it so he can spend time with us.. AKA bikeriding the boardwalk, and last time i was home he even came to the mall with me and my sister haha! which i know is a huge sacrifice for him :)






My dad never ceases to tell me how proud of me he is, or how much he Loves his girls. He makes sacrifices to be a provider so that we can have what he never did. I have had such a great model of what a hard worker is, and what true dedication looks like.




Dad, you are the best dad anyone can ask for! I know I don't tell you enough that I am thankful for you!
I love you with all my heart and am so proud to call you my father!! Happy fathers day dad!

I have missed blogging! A big ole' post to make up for my lack of posting!

I have been back and forth on ideas of what I should do on my first post back after about 2 months of blogging being M.I.A I had so much going on for a couple weeks I got lost in the chaos and haven't sat down long enough to blog! So to update you...

This girl has a heart of Gold! She has extreme joy and wants to share it! She started a new trend called "thursday Latelies" where you name products, moments, or just random things that have brought you joy from the week and you share them on thursdays in a video! Which I am starting next thursday my very own first edition of Thursday latelies!
I would start today but I'm currently blogging from my bed in an old sweatshirt with wet hair, so it will just have to wait :)

Becky also has great style, looks like she basically walks straight out of a J. crew magazine everyday.. love it!!






I plan on being more consistent with outfit posts, and more creative ideas for my blog.. I miss blogging when I am not doing it so I apologize for my absence!

May Days

This was supposed to be a warm sunny shoot, and turned into me wrapping up with a blanket the entire time! luckily my maxi skirt kept me pretty warm!










Maxi skirts are like the new wearable pajamas. I promise they are incredible.. if you dont already have one you should get one!

long overdue!

I cant even remember the last outfit post I did!
Here is what i wore to work today! i had presentations today in this shirt and decided to switch my bottoms to something more casual. I can never find the perfect thing to pair with these pants to make me look thin.. but i just love the pants so dang much i can't part with them or part with wearing them constantly.

M.I.A. Literally

School is really winding down and the next 3 weekends of my life are going to be Jam packed including: boyfriends marathon/apartment hunting in nashville, sisters wedding, moving into new house, boyfriends graduation in nashville, and somewhere in there include finals week, about 6 projects due, 4 papers and a lack of social life... Needless to stay I'm MIA for craziness in my life! BUT i have missed blogging the last week. Here's some of what i did this weekend. Phil needed a new suit for my sisters wedding, so we went to the city (chicago) to buy him a skinny suit from Zara.
We had so much fun on our quick trip and i got to meet up with my best friend who lives up there now.




My cousin entered 4 garments in our ISU fashion show this weekend. Here is her and my other cousin hilary modeling one of katies designs.

The city, fashion show, wedding crafts, easter celebrations.. LIFE IS NUTS!

My sister whit moves out in 2 weeks and into her new house with her (almost) husband. I'm trying not to think about it or ill probably get emotional. Not to mention shes great at braiding my bangs when i'm having a bad hair day. I cant do it myself... And she loves my clothes so she basically sleeps in my closet. I'm hoping she gets bored in a few weeks and she moves back in with me so our closets can again live as one.



Hopefully I'll be able to post more consistently when life slows down!
