Matchy Matchy

I never usually match so on the rare occasion that I do, its probably picture worthy. I mix a lot of colors like brown and black that most people would disapprove. I also utilized my other sister today who came up with pose ideas, and also gets credit for my sweater! I had intentions of wearing these heels all day, but walking all over campus in 4 inch heels isn't always the best idea.

First Outfit Post EVER! Just have to laugh..

So today is my first official outfit post ever!!!!! And I have to laugh because taking these pictures: 1. was impossible because it was SO windy, and 2. because it was So AWKWARD. My sister kept laughing at me, and saying things like " stand naturally" .. and my response always was " THIS IS NATURAL!" hahahah. Needless to say... I may be using a self timer with the next post to make things a little less awkward. I didn't get to many good shots, and with much editing here are a few!






And this is what i was doing the whole dang time...



:) It was an adventure for sure!

This weekend was my sister's wedding showers. We had one for our side of the family friends then her fiance's family as well. So we are all a little exhausted. I'm looking forward to a quiet sunday afternoon to relax and get caught up!

SNEAK PEAK! :) and announcement

I did a photoshoot with my cousin who has a growing photography business in town a couple of days ago. She has me pick out a few of my favorite items in my closet, and then remix them into a few outfits for her readers. I won "artist of the month" for her blog, and then also did an interview. Here is one picture from the shoot. Probably my favorite picture that I did from the shoot is the top left of this group.
:) Love her lighting and posing. Wish she could take all of my pictures for my style blog launch...
Which brings me to my next point :)





I am officially going to be a personal style blogger. I will be feauturing daily outfit posts, inspirations of other bloggers, possibly interviews and feautures on those bloggers, some giveaways, other fashion tips, and hopefully some closet remixing with some of my readers!! I hope this sounds like a fun idea to someone else but me, because I AM PUMPED! SO! Here is the official LAUNCH of my style blog! Beginnings

I started thinking about my old fashion sense, and where my love for clothes started to evolve today during an interview i did for a feature I will soon be in for Tami Paige Photography. I realized it came from experimenting with my clothes early high school, and from there finding what my personal style was. I always prided myself on looking different, and being original. I used a lot of layering, and just whatever was on clearance at urban outfitters at the time haha. I started looking through old pictures and found some of these pictures that made me laugh. Please excuse the braces.. there hideous.




This was my favorite shirt, and favorite sweatshirt. Shirt was given to me by Isaac, And sweatshirt was made by my best friend Tori at the time. It was painted lyrics of my favorite song at the time. hahah




nice dress crops, with a sweatshirt, and a shell necklace whit bought me from hawaii, and hairbows I bought from walmart in the baby section. I think this outfit speaks for itself haha.

This picture has nothing to do with my style, its just a funny day where I dressed up as spongebob for a pep rally, and i ran aorund the gym aimlessly handing out yellow caution tape... haha why? no idea.




I'm wearing a "number one mom" shirt that i made for " career day" at school. ... I wore this shirt all the time after career day.. I was such an odd child.

Street Style Inspiration - MARY KATE OLSEN

From when I was a little girl, i was OBSESSED with marykate and ashley olsen. I owned and watched every one of their movies incessantly. If i didn't own one of the videos I would rent it everytime I was the movie store. I always liked marykate beter because "kate" was part of her name and i thought i related to her more because of that hhaha. As i have grown up, I have still always kind of admired her, but not because of her really awesome detective videos, (lol) but because of her incredible style, and knowing how to put really unique combos of things together.. Here are a few examples i found that i LOVEEEEEEE!

These next 2 pictures are really old. I had both of them hanging in my room and in my journal for outfit inspiration. Some pretty crazy outfits came out of this time period, which my parents didn't appreciate too much, but its all about finding your personal style and what fits you. This was just one of those stages along the journey :)

When i am having a dull day, I usually look at magazines or style blogs, or celebrity shoots for inspiration for clothing tips. I love googling "paparrazzi pics of ...." to get the best inspiration and ideas. These the celebrities in their raw form, and their true selves, and sometimes their personal style gives me ideas for my own!
