Love the simplicity of this full Skirt.

Feeling unprepared for the new trends, and baring skin for spring. I am pale, and havent had one ounce of motivation to work out all winter. So this proposes a problem...Am looking forward to my feet being able to breath though! The second I can break out my sandals, I will!

Love a good Blazer

I've realized how much I love blazers, or any kind of structured jacket. I look forward to fall so that i can wear all my blazers, belted, oversized, fitted and structured over a dress.. all different types. So i started looking through pictures and realized ... i wear blazers so much.. maybe too much? Not sure how I never noticed this, but I guess I cant get enough of them!
Some examples:

Clearly I wear them over everything ha. I found so many more pictures of myself in blazers, but i was almost embarrassed to post them, because i never realized how much i wear them.. ( as i'm typing this I'm currently wearing a blazer haaaa)

Love some of these ways to pair a blazer to tie an outfit together:

High Waisted pants, with Fitted Blazer

Marykate pretty much always overdoes her outfits, but i love the way she pairs it with shorts, and an oversized scarf, and intense gladiators. She has a great sense of how to put unusual items together to make an eclectic look.

And I'm not a fan of jean skirts, but i Do love it paired with the black leather mini.

Also LOVE it with the Boyfriend jeans in this first one.

I'm excited for Spring weather, but will miss my blazers for Spring. ha.. I guess I will have to find a way to incorporate them into my wardrobe. They'll sneak their way in their somehow I'm sure :)

Inspiration for Being in the Fashion Industry:

I always think back to when I was little and what sparked this interest in this industry. I always remember drawing clothes at church, and making designs of what I thought would look good at my next Christmas concert or next sleepover. I always had to make sure the things I wore to school or events were fashionable, and it would really iritate me when someone would go out and buy the same thing I had. I mean i would get like ANGRY, when I saw someone had copied my sweater. haha. Now I think I would just be flattered.. But as I got older I started reading more magazines and watching what celebrities but most of all i was most drawn to the era of the 60's and 70's... but especially the 60's. Their was some reason to their rhyme in their clothing unlike the 70's, there were just a lot of free spirits and lots of tie dye :) Which is also cool.
I started researching their clothing, and makeup, hair styles, everything because I was so fascinated. I wanted to magically tranform my warddrobe to look just like theirs.
These were some of my favorite pictures I always had as my computer background or posted in my school binders: .......

TWIGGY of course....

Brigitte Bardot:

Edie Sedgwick: My favorite ...

I see alot of things in these photos that has already come back or is coming back, which kind of funny and exciting at the same time.
Like oxfords, large buttoned pea coats, high waisted shorts, rosaries, fringe boots, and so much more.

REMIXER?

I've been thinking alot about this idea of the "30 day remixing challenge".
I found it on this fashion blog.. www.kendieveryday.blogspot.com She picked 30 items in her closet, and remixed them every day for a new look. Then she would post pictures each day of the outfit she made.. The rules on no shopping for the whole month, and "shopping" in your own wardrobe with what you already have. Somehow I feel like I wouldn't last because I have such a huge variety of things, I think I would get bored.. any thoughts??
Anyways, Here are a few more things I've had my eye on lately!

I love the thought of shopping in my own closet for once, I love doing that in other people's closet's, or going to thrift stores feeling like you are in your grandmother's old closet, but for some reason I dont enjoy it as much with my own closet. Such is life I guess!
Who's in favor of my remixer challenge?? (kind of scared for a response ;) )

So I have been severely neglecting my blog.. So to start the start of my new blogging trend, I decided to post something simple. Just five things right now that I LOVE this season....

5 FAV's FOR FALL! :)

Onesie! As weird as it may seem, It is actually very functional, and classy. A great way to tuck in a classic shirt without the hassle. Except maybe when you have to go to the bathroom. This would be super cute tucked into black pants, with a oversized cardigan. Or paired with jeans, and a fun black/or colored leather jacket. $30

Sequins Blazer -- Love the way this is paired just with a white T, and jeans. It looks elegant but casual. $27.

Baggy Sweaters. I love feeling cozy in the fall, and baggy sweaters are always my go to tops. They look fun with skinnys, jeggings, and i love wearing them with really large necklaces.
Paired with boots is my favorite. $24
Oxfords! I love these in any color or print. I think they are so cute with skinny jeans, leggings and fun dresses. They are easy way to "urbanize" your outfit quickly. Love 'em. -- $69

Marc Jacobs Boho Bag - $158

Hope you enjoy these selections, more blog posts, and fashion advice to come :)
